Arriving by car: From Vancouver take the B.C. ferry to Nanaimo. You catch the ferry from the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal or the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. Once in Nanaimo proceed north along the Island Hwy #19, then take Hwy #4 to through Port Alberni, on to Ucluelet and Tofino. |

Arriving by bike: Follow the "By Car" instructions (see above) until you arrive in Port Alberni. Once in Port, you will have a choice: either proceed along Hwy #4 (a grueling cycle over the mountains), OR you can board the ship MV Lady Rose which sails from Port Alberni to Ucluelet each Monday, Wednesday, or Friday mornings during June to September, & enjoy the spectacular sights of the Broken Islands Group along the way. |

Arriving by bus: From Victoria or Nanaimo: Tofino Bus offers daily service between Victoria, Nanaimo, and Tofino. For schedules & fares, call 1-866-986-3466 or visit www.tofinobus.com. Greyhound Bus connects Vancouver to both Victoria and Nanaimo www.pacificcoach.com From both of the HI-Vancouver Hostels: Bus transportation is available from downtown Vancouver to the ferry at Horseshoe Bay www.bcferries.com (by both Greyhound & city buses… please ask the hostel staff). The other option would be to check the ride boards and maybe share the gas with someone. |

Arriving from the United States: Follow Hwy #5 north to Vancouver, or take the ferry from Seattle or Port Angeles, on to Victoria. Once in Victoria follow the Island Highway north to Nanaimo. |
